I can't believe so many of you have kept in touch.  I left Hale for OSU and finally graduated after a brief unfortunate marriage.  I have been in the Oklahoma City area for 34 years working in various hospitals and clinics.  I quit nursing in Sep. 07 and now work as an artist and junker.  I've been married for nearly 30 years to the same great guy and have a 25 year old son finishing law school at OU.

Pam and I moved to Houston 3 years ago due to company relocation. We have been married for 27 years and have two daughters. The oldest graduated from OSU and is living in Los Angeles. The youngest will be a senior at OSU. Due to a conflict, I will not be able to attend this year's reunion.

freighter from the US to Italy for the Italian
Ministry of Defense.  Debbie met me in Rome for a week before we came home.

In a wonderful twist of fate, and most definitely Divine intervention, I am the very recent bride of my 9th grade prom date, Bob Fletcher!  Trust me, no one's more shocked than we are!  We're living in Hot Springs, AR. Life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier!  Between the two of us, we have 5 grandchildren, aged 1-7. Still singing every chance I get.

After attending OSU (Go Cowboys!) and TU, I taught art in Locust Grove, OK for two long years.  Decided teaching wasn't my thing, so moved back to my birth state of Colorado and worked for several computer companies as secretary and office manager.  Met my husband Jim in 1983 and we lived in Colorado, Arizona and now in Edmond, OK.  We own our own Home Inspection business, which keeps us very busy.  In my spare time I am an animal freak --- we have three cats, two dogs, four horses and various strays.  I also do wildlife rehabilitation and have hand-raised orphaned squirrels, raccoons, possums, birds, etc.   No skunks yet!

Let’s see.  After high school I married at age 19 for 4 years, divorced 1 year and married that same man again for another 4 years, had to learn that lesson twice.  Married 2 years later to the man that is my husband now.  We have been married for 25 years now.  Guess my name really is, Cheryl Rae Barnes, Gibbons, Barnes, Gibbons, Hiles…well and since Mike Reynolds and I got married at Hale in that home living class or what ever it was I guess I should throw a Reynolds in there at the beginning as well.  J  At least in the end I married the right man of 25 years.  We have two gorgeous daughters.  Courtney is 24 living in Austin working the 6^th street bars BUT promises to go back to school in the fall…..we shall see, she only has one year left. J  Sarah is 21 and is in her senior year at Texas State.  Or should I say her first senior year at Texas State.  We have no grandchildren and no hurry for our girls to jump into that but really feeling ready to enjoy that stage in life. 

 

This is my 24^th year of teaching, all in special education.  I love teaching but really looking forward to retirement.  Although, w/college loans I don’t see that in the near future.   

 

I loved seeing everyone at our 30^th reunion.  A week after the reunion I lost my daddy.  We moved my mother to a smaller condo in Sallisaw, Ok. just this past December.  Now I feel I lost my home front in Tulsa.  With school just starting and prior commitments I will not be able to attend the 35^th reunion.  I hope there is a great turn out and want to see many pictures.  I feel our class is one of the great lucky ones…..we all have that wonderful close feeling.  I hope we all have many more reunions together.  Say hello to everyone for me and give them a hug.  We need to all keep in touch.  crhiles@aol.com

Lived in Houston for 17 years sowing my wild oats.  Moved back home in 1997 to be with my parents.  Mom was sick and passed in 10/06.  Lost my best friend.  Anyway, I have 1 son living in Texas and I have 2 cats which I adore.  I'm the one in the middle of the picture.
